“In order to succeed, you must know what you are doing, like what you are doing, and believe in what you are doing.”
— Will Rogers
You may absolutely love and be passionate about what you’re doing.
However, if you don’t take time to take care of yourself your performance ultimately suffers.
The US Navy SEALs have a saying, “Tired men make mistakes”.
If you’re not doing some of the things you must do to achieve your Performance Goals you may just be tired.
A good example is losing concentration during the day or surfing the web when you’re trying to get a project done, or thinking about the weekend (my favorite).
To improve your performance, do this Action Step today.
When you’re mentally drifting just take a break –the odds are that you’re tired.
It seems, at this point, the more you push the worse it can get. The worse it gets the more frustrated it gets, the more frustrated it gets the more you can be disappointed with yourself, the more disappointed …you get the picture.
So, take a break. Come back to it later that day or tomorrow and you’ll probably complete it rather quickly.
