Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
– Jim Ryun
Studies have shown that 40% of our daily activities are actually habits not decisions. For example, what shoe did you put on first this morning, your right or left? It’s doesn’t really matter which one it’s more important to see that it’s rather automatic. You usually put the same shoe, the right or the left, on first every time. It’s a habit.
Habits are the brains way of streamlining routine activities to free up brain power for decision making.
Some of our daily routines are actually time wasters which produce little of the results we really want.
Action Step: Keep track of your routine business activities and measure accurately the results they are producing toward your goals.
