“A man can succeed at almost anything for which he
has unlimited enthusiasm.”
— Charles Schwab
Enthusiasm that comes from a sense of purpose and commitment to something bigger than yourself is compelling, persuasive, and infectious. It’s also a source of endless energy, vitality, and commitment to make a difference in people’s lives.
What’s also interesting is that having enthusiasm all by yourself is not nearly as empowering as sharing it with someone else. It’s like being excited all by yourself, which is fun, but not nearly as much as when you share it with a friend. It seems that the more your share it the better it gets. Then better again when you share it with someone new.
What is your level of enthusiasm on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being outrageously enthusiastic?
To improve your enthusiasm, do this Action Step today.
Identify something that you’re committed to that is bigger that yourself.
Then ask yourself, “What can I do to move this forward today?”
Then share your insight and progress with someone else.
Notice how you feel.
Are you more enlivened than before?
Or are you automatic?
Which one feels better?
